Chloe Anderson, Founder
Ventura, California

US Navy Veteran, mom and climbing enthusiast - All it took was a 3 hour trip to a local climbing gym before she was instantly hooked. Anxious to learn more - she ventured online for some kind of women's rock climbing community but to no avail. In an effort to branch out and meet more climbers, she created the Girls Who Climb group through Facebook and like wildfire, it spread. She passionately devotes her spare time to reaching out to other women climbers and outdoor women in general, in the hopes that she can inspire them to get outdoors and try something new and offer and outlet to do so. It's a true honor to bare witness to the joy and excitement climbing brings so many women! Being community based, she also makes it her personal mission to advocate for local climbing gyms, crags and support local climbing start-up companies and donations to local non-profits!

Melody Yuan
GWC Ambassador, Los Angeles, California

Melody fell in love with climbing while grasping for dear life along the arête of a 5.9 route in Bishop, California. She was always into the outdoors having grown up climbing trees, camping with friends, and swimming in the ocean. But climbing was a whole different experience. Melody enjoys the exhilaration, adrenaline and community built around climbing. It didn’t take her long to join a climbing gym and spend almost every weekend going out to various crags with those who are now some of her closest friends. Given how positively climbing has impacted her life the past two years, Melody is eager to give back to the community by introducing the experience to others, especially in a way that helps empower women.

Natasha Hodges
GWC Ambassador, SLC, Utah

Natasha was born and raised in Uath and was first introduced to climbing by my dad when she was eight years old in 2003. She would go from time to time but for some reason it wasn't the instant love that she wished it was. She didn't actually get into climbing for herself until the end of 2012. Ever since then she have been addicted! It has changed her life for the better in so many ways. Climbing is now her entire life. She works at a climbing gym teaching climbing classes to beginners as well as seasoned  climbers trying to break through plateaus! She loves what she does because she wants everybody to feel confident in themselves and what they are truly capable of.

Tuesday Kahl
GWC Ambassador, Texas

Tuesday found climbing in a very millennial way. While on Snapchat she found Emily Harrington and couldn’t think anything other than “I want to do what she’s doing”. Unfortunately, she lived over an hour from any climbing gym and 3 hours from any crag. About a year later, she moved for work and finally went to a local gym. Instantly hooked. After some kind mentoring and catches from the gym staff she threw herself into climbing. 6 months in, she was opening and managing one of the United States’ largest Climbing gyms Momentum Indoor Climbing Katy. She began getting involved with the Houston Area Women’s Climbing Club, finding just about anyone and everyone to go outside to Austin with and helping develop a new community. Climbing revolutionized her life in a way she never could have imagined. It gave her community when she had none, passion for a sport which she thought she’d lost, a beautiful career better than she could have imagined and a new way to connect with the outdoors.  Tuesday’s current projects include managing her gym and facilitating her community, assisting with the rebolting of several central Texas climbing areas, helping establish climbing areas in far west Texas and building a massive bamboo sculpture and exhibition with Big Bambu in Houston, Tx in MFAH set to open in early June 2018. Tuesday’s favorite thing of all is seeing the journey climbing takes people on, from their first day in a climbing gym to their adventures outdoors.
